Silver Spring, MD – Recognizing her creativity, artwork, and expression of theme, the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) today announced Natalia Palasota, of McKinney, Texas as the Elementary School section winner of the NFCC’s 2007 financial literacy poster contest.

Palasota is a fifth grader at Glen Oaks Elementary School in McKinney, TX.

The theme of this year’s contest was “Plant the Seed of Saving to Grow Your Future.” More than 1,500 posters were submitted through NFCC member agencies across the country. Palasota submitted her poster through the local NFCC member-agency, Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) of North Central Texas.

“We could not be happier for Natalia to receive this national honor in recognition of all of her hard work,” said Danny Wolf, President of CCCS of North Central Texas. “It’s clear that Natalia has a plan for her future.  She knows how to save and the importance of saving.”

As the national Elementary School Winner, Natalia will receive the following from the NFCC in addition to a $100 savings bond from Chase Bank in McKinney:

  • An award recognition plaque; and
  • $100 savings bond.

“It’s a real privilege for us to be able to honor Natalia as the elementary school poster contest winner,” said Susan C. Keating, NFCC president and CEO.  “It is so critical to instill the idea of savings into our young people, and Natalia has done a fabulous job of truly showing how important savings is to her.”

Client Testimonials
I was extremely nervous and ashamed of myself that I had to go for help like this. This debt has been eating me up for months. I couldn’t have had better help. It was like a burden has been lifted. I would recommend CCCS to my friends. You were recommended to me by a friend—Richard & Kay M., Mt. Pleasant, TX
