McKinney, Texas October 24, 2007—The Noon Lions Club, celebrating 87 years in McKinney awarded a WOLF with its top honor, the 2007 Lion-of-the-Year!

Danny Wolf, President and CEO of Consumer Credit Counseling Service of North Central Texas joined the Lions just a year ago and brings the same conscientious effort to the Lions that he has demonstrated as the President of CCCS for 14 years.

Danny was totally taken aback at the honor which was kept secret even by his wife Shawna. He told Shawna that he would like to win the top award but knew he didn’t stand a chance since he is a “newbie” with the civic club. 

While Pat Greever, President of the McKinney Noon Lions Club read the bio of the winner, Danny heard references that coincided with his life and activities.  He was only convinced they were actually referring to him when it was revealed the winner had been instrumental in developing the girl’s softball fields in McKinney, while serving as President of the McKinney Girls Softball Association.

“He’s the most positive person I’ve ever met,” said Pat Greever. “He brings a fresh and conscientious perspective to every project he undertakes. Other clubs would be jealous of his membership here—they would all want him for their clubs.” 

Danny’s CCCS team is proud of this honor bestowed upon him, for now others are learning what his team has always known to be true—their WOLF makes a great LION!
