LOCAL CCCS AGENCY BECOMES FIRST IN TEXAS APPROVED FOR PRE-RELEASE BANKRUPTCY EDUCATION

Consumer Credit Counseling Service® of North Central Texas is the only CCCS agency in Texas approved to date by the EOUST (Executive Office of the United States Trustee) for pre-release bankruptcy education for consumers seeking bankruptcy relief through the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, which took effect on October 17, 2005.

“As soon as our agency found out what was needed to qualify on the new bankruptcy program, we went to work to ensure we would be approved,” said Danny Wolf, President of CCCS of North Central Texas. “Our team stands ready to help people in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma who file for bankruptcy protection under the new law that became effective October 17 th .  While we are already approved and performing bankruptcy counseling, this now completes the circle of full service to those that are filing for bankruptcy relief”

The EOUST set stringent guidelines for approval to do financial counseling and education through their new program.  CCCS will not only help consumers, filing for bankruptcy, become aware of the alternatives and pitfalls associated with bankruptcy, it will now also play a vital role in helping people establish proper budgeting and guidelines that will keep them from returning to bankruptcy in the future.
